Scheduling jobs

Run a job automatically against a list so new contacts are handled as they arrive.

A schedule is a saved job that runs on its own. Point it at a list, choose how often it runs, and it keeps your data clean without anyone remembering to press a button.

How often schedules run

  • Every hour
  • Every 6 hours
  • Every 12 hours
  • Daily, at an hour you choose (UTC)

Use a smart list that empties itself

DavenportAI charges for every record in the list on each run. It does not skip records it has processed before. So the list a schedule runs against matters.

Point schedules at an active list filtered to contacts still missing the data you want, for example contacts where the company name is unknown. Once a contact is completed, it drops out of the list, so each run only picks up new contacts. A schedule against a list that never shrinks, such as “All contacts”, charges for the whole list every time it runs.

Credit caps

Each schedule can have a credit cap per run. A run never uses more credits than its cap. This protects your balance from surprises, such as a large import landing in the list overnight.

What happens on each run

  • Scheduled runs are confirmed automatically, so there is no estimate to approve.
  • If the list is empty, nothing runs and no credits are used.
  • If the previous run is still in progress, the next one is skipped.
  • Missed runs are not made up later. The schedule simply runs at its next time.
  • A run only starts if your balance covers its estimate.

When a schedule pauses

If a schedule hits a problem it cannot fix by retrying, such as a deleted list, a disconnected portal, or not enough credits, it is paused and marked with an error in the app. If your plan is cancelled or lapses, scheduled jobs wait in the queue and resume when you reactivate. Fix the cause, then resume the schedule from the app. Temporary problems, such as a HubSpot outage, are retried automatically at the next run.
