How credits work
What a credit buys, when you are charged, and how plan credits and top-ups behave.
DavenportAI is priced in credits. You never pay for seats, logins or failed lookups.
The basics
- 1 credit = $0.01.
- Completing records and finding work emails: one credit per match. Misses are free. If we cannot find a match, or the match does not belong to the same person, you are not charged.
- AI-inferred attributes: one credit per attribute per contact. You are charged for each attribute we produce, whatever the answer. Contacts missing the details an attribute needs are skipped at no charge.
- Company buying signals: one credit per company.
Every run counts every record
DavenportAI does not skip records it has processed before. Each run charges for every record in the list, so running the same list twice costs twice. Scope runs with your lists: for repeat and scheduled jobs, use a smart list that only includes records still missing the data. See Scheduling jobs.
Estimates before every job
When you start a job, DavenportAI reads your list and shows the most credits the job can use. Nothing runs and nothing is charged until you confirm. The final cost is often lower than the estimate, because misses are free.
A job only starts if your balance covers the estimate. Scheduled jobs can also carry a credit cap per run. See Scheduling jobs.
Plan credits
Each plan includes a set number of credits every month:

Plan credits renew at the start of each billing month and do not roll over. They are always used before top-up credits. Annual plans are billed once a year, and credits are still granted monthly.
Top-ups
If you need more in a given month, buy a top-up at your plan’s rate per 1,000 credits:

Top-up credits never expire. You can spend them while you have an active plan or trial.
Free trial
New accounts get 200 free credits with full access to every capability. No credit card required. Unused trial credits are cleared when your first plan starts.
If you cancel
- Unused plan credits end when the plan ends.
- Top-up credits stay on your account. You cannot spend them without an active plan, but they are available again when you resubscribe.
- Jobs, including scheduled ones, wait in the queue while you have no active plan and pick up again when you reactivate.
